3-in-1 Amplifier Plug for Hydraulic Valves

With EMMA, HAWE Hydraulik is launching a new plug-shaped proportional amplifier on the market, which is characterised by simple commissioning, smart monitoring functions and wireless parameterisation via WiFi. In a single housing, EMMA combines signal amplification, position monitoring and a modern web server – a world first that opens up new perspectives for both stationary and mobile applications.

The compact plug amplifier has an integrated web server. This means that parameterization can be carried out conveniently via any WLAN-enabled device – without any software or cables. At the same time, compared to its predecessor "EV2S", EMMA comes with many exciting condition monitoring functionalities that you would not expect to find in the compact housing.

The EMMA plug amplifier is simply plugged into single-stroke magnets, double magnets or twin magnets and is immediately ready for use. For valve monitoring, EMMA provides an integrated switching position query that can be read out wirelessly at any time. The neutral position signal can be transmitted directly and precisely to the higher-level control system via a digital output – a reliable solution for position monitoring in the case of, for example, directional seated valves or direct-controlled directional spool valves with two actuating solenoids. This eliminates the need for additional installation of external sensors – a clear advantage for designers and OEMs. At the same time, EMMA also supports so-called closed-loop controls for precise and repeatable control, almost hysteresis-free. This turns a standard valve into an intelligently monitored and controlled high-tech module with onboard Electronics. With its compact design, EMMA not only fits all HAWE valves – whether directional valves, pressure valves or flow valves – but also many valves of different manufacturers.
