Oxford County Selected as Host of the AORS 2025 Annual Municipal Public Works Trade Show
The Oxford County Road Supervisors Association learned its bid was selected by the Association of Ontario Road Supervisors (AORS) at the Annual General Meeting on April 17, 2024. Set for June 4-5, 2025, the Public Works Trade Show will bring hundreds of exhibitors and over 2,000 municipal attendees to the County to learn the latest developments in the management of municipal roads infrastructure. This is a tremendous opportunity to showcase the community, its commitment to excellence, and the strength of Oxford’s municipal partnerships. The work to plan this long-standing industry event is well underway, with the help of the many local partners who were part of the formal bid or who have offered their support. This includes the Woodstock Fairgrounds in Woodstock, where the trade show will be held, and Craigowan Golf Course, host of the Ross Mackenzie Golf Tournament & Dinner on June 3, 2025. The organizers extend their thanks to everyone who supported their bid. “We look forward to sharing more with the community as we move along this process,” said Jim Borton, secretary/treasurer, Oxford County Road Supervisors Association, director, Public Works, Township of Blandford-Blenheim, and representative, Association of Ontario Road Supervisors. The Oxford County Road Superintendents Association is made up of the municipalities of City of Woodstock, County of Oxford, Town of Ingersoll, Town of Tillsonburg, Township of Blandford-Blenheim, Township of East Zorra-Tavistock, Township of Norwich, Township of South-West Oxford, Township of Zorra. It is one of 32 local members of the Ontario Road Supervisors (AORS), a provincial association of public works professionals dedicated to providing high-quality public services through certification, educational programs and interaction among its members. |
