Peab Builds New Facilities For Testing and Final Inspection in Örnsköldsvik
Peab AB has received another commission from BAE Systems Hägglunds AB in Örnsköldsvik. The project includes new facilities for testing and final inspection. The contract for the new order is worth SEK 258 million ($38 million). “Peab has extensive experience of working with both large industrial projects in northern Sweden and projects with high security requirements. We therefore look forward to continuing to work in Örnsköldsvik and are proud that BAE Systems Hägglunds AB has chosen to expand our contract,” said Anders Gard, managing director of Peab Industribyggnad i norr AB. “We’re happy with our collaboration in ongoing projects and look forward to the next step we’re taking with Peab to create an inspiring and functional work environment for our employees. Demand is on the rise and we’re working intently to increase our capacity, and this is where Peab has a vital and responsibility-laden job to do. The new buildings will be another step in our expansion and continued development here in Örnsköldsvik,” said Peter Sedin, director Operations at BAE Systems Hägglunds. The project is a turnkey contract in partnering. The original work started in the spring of 2025 and the project is expected to be completed in January 2028. Peab is the Nordic Community Builder with 12,000 employees.
