Gebrüder Weiss Sets New Benchmarks in Heavy-Duty Transport with
14 eActros 600 Trucks

Gebrüder Weiss Holding AG, headquartered in Lauterach, Austria, is a global full-service logistics provider with 180 company-owned locations worldwide. Its portfolio includes transport and logistics solutions, digital services and supply chain management.

Since the end of 2025, Gebrüder Weiss has been operating 14 Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 electric trucks deployed in daily general cargo, scheduled line-haul and long-distance operations. At Gebrüder Weiss, the eActros 600 is used both in regional transport and in more demanding line-haul and long-distance operations. This is made possible by the company’s own charging infrastructure.

For more than 500 years, Gebrüder Weiss has stood for continuity across generations and for the ambition to continuously rethink logistics. Precisely because sustainable business practices do not begin today but must be designed for the long term, the company adopted e‑mobility in heavy-duty transport at an early stage.

A key pillar of the electrification strategy is the company’s own energy and charging infrastructure. As public charging options for electric trucks are still insufficient in many regions, Gebrüder Weiss has established its own charging and energy supply systems at several locations in Austria and southern Germany. The energy is generated either from the company’s own photovoltaic systems or sourced from certified renewable electricity.

Gebrüder Weiss plans to further expand its own charging infrastructure at additional locations to operate routes even more independently of external charging stations.
