Constructions HDF est fière d’annoncer la nomination d’Éric Couture au poste de directeur des opérations. À titre d’ingénieur et membre de l’ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, monsieur Couture a acquis une solide expérience de plus de 15 ans dans différents postes clés au sein d’entreprises de grande envergure. «Son expertise dans le secteur du génie civil contribuera assurément au renforcement du service que nous offrons déjà à nos clients, depuis maintenant 60 ans, et à l’essor de l’entreprise», disait François Pelletier, président de Constructions HDF. «Son désir constant de relever de nouveaux défis, sa rigueur et la passion qui l’anime l’aideront à poursuivre la mission de Constructions HDF qui vise à offrir à ses clients les services les mieux adaptés à leurs besoins.» Spécialisée principalement en entretien et réhabilitation de chaussées, soit en différents types de planage d’enrobés bitumineux, en pulvérisation et stabilisation, en bandes rugueuses, en préchauffage, en pavage d’enrobés bitumineux, en balayage, et en déneigement des voies publiques, Constructions HDF œuvre partout en province. Nous lui souhaitons le plus grand succès dans ses nouvelles fonctions.
Divex Marine inc. a accueilli dernièrement Christine Robitaille comme nouvelle chargée de projets et estimatrice. Madame Robitaille a travaillé plus de 18 ans dans le domaine des travaux sous-marins. Avec une vaste expérience dans la gestion de projets comme les barrages, les ponts, les quais et les écluses, elle est un atout important pour Divex Marine à mesure que l’entreprise grandit et s’adapte aux nouveaux défis du monde de la plongée. Christine Robitaille a cumulé sur sa feuille de route plus d’un millier de projets dans la construction et inspections sous-marines. Sa personnalité brillante et sa grande compétence dans ce domaine lui permettront d’atteindre ses objectifs professionnels et d’assurer son succès. L’équipe de Divex Marine est heureuse d’avoir recruté madame Robitaille en tant qu’employée et lui souhaite la bienvenue dans ses nouvelles fonctions.

Roy Slack formally assumed the role of Canadian Insitute of Mining (CIM) president for the year 2019-2020 at the end of the CIM Convention on May 1st, 2019. Mr. Slack is a professional engineer, the founder and past president of Cementation Canada, and is a director of Cementation Americas, a mine contracting and engineering firm that provides design-build and construction management services to the mining sector. Cementation Canada has been recognized numerous times as one of “Canada’s Top 100 Employers”. It has also been recognized as Safest Employer in Canada in 2014 (Gold), 2015 (Silver), 2016 (Gold) and 2017 (Gold) in the mining and natural resources category. Roy Slack has been active in numerous safety initiatives and in 2013, he was appointed to the Province of Ontario’s first Prevention Council to advise the government on workplace safety. He currently chairs the CIM Safety Committee. A long-time member of CIM, Mr. Slack was the chair and a member of the team that was instrumental in reviving the CIM Northern Gateway Branch, which was recognized in 2008 with the Mel W. Bartley Outstanding Branch Award. In the same year, he was awarded the Engineer’s Medal for Entrepreneurship by the Professional Engineers of Ontario. In 2009, Roy Slack was awarded the Metal Mining Society Award by CIM. In 2012, he was named a Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary International. In 2017, Nipissing University bestowed upon him an honorary doctorate and in 2018, he was inducted into the SAMSSA Hall of Fame. Mr. Slack’s goals for his presidency are a focus on the strategic goals of CIM including advancing public awareness of the industry, increased engagement with mining schools and fostering interaction between other mining associations in Canada as well as internationally.
