Terex Advance Selects Doran Manufacturing
for Tire Monitoring Systems

Terex® Advance, a manufacturer of front discharge concrete mixers, has selected Doran Manufacturing to supply its tire pressure and temperature monitoring systems. Effective immediately, all new Terex Advance mixers will be equipped with Doran 360 tire monitoring systems that provide continuous real-time tire pressure and temperature monitoring and alerting. The decision is part of the Terex Advance “Cab Refresh Initiative”, which makes the entire cab more user-friendly.

Doran Manufacturing’s tire monitoring systems eliminate dangerous and costly run-flats for ready-mix fleets by providing real-time alerts for low inflation pressure, rapid deflation events, and extreme tire temperatures. Tire pressure and temperature data is displayed within the Terex Advance onboard diagnostics screen, so drivers can easily identify if there is an issue with one of their tires. Should a tire issue develop, the audible alerts and visual warnings help drivers quickly identify which tire location is affected and see the digital pressure reading. Taking immediate action improves vehicle safety and lowers tire-related costs.  This increased visibility on tire inflation helps drivers avoid run-flats, which can be especially dangerous on construction sites; it also helps avoid costly and time-consuming roadside tire replacements.

“Adding tire pressure monitoring (TPM) as a standard feature to all newly produced Terex Advance trucks is a significant safety enhancement, said David Grabner, Terex Advance general manager. “At the same time, it offers our customers improvements in fuel economy, increased tire life, and reduction in maintenance.”
